Alumni Connection//December 2025

Staying Connected

Bill Boyd (ThM, 1965) celebrated his ninetieth birthday this November. He partied on the morning of his birthday with his Sunday school students, most of whom are young soldiers from Fort Bragg. He and his wife also celebrated with all of their kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. God is faithful!

Alumni Representative Joe Allen (ThM, 1988) sent us some pictures from his travels.

Preston Boone and Charonda Woods-Boone (MACE, 2020) welcomed their daughter, Justice, into the world on July 18, 2025. The couple originally met at DTS and were married in 2022. Preston is current student, while Charonda is a PhD student, researching pro-colonial West African Christianity. She recently presented at the Society of Biblical Literature and the Society of Gospel Haymanot. She is thankful for such exciting opportunities. God is good!

Susan He (MABC, 2006) and her husband and Janelle Hopkins (MACE, 2008) were able to connect with Johnsy John, a current student, and his family last weekend. They all enjoyed a great time of fellowship. Janelle was able to attend Fremont Grace Church, where Johnsy pastors. We’re so thankful for our amazing alumni who take care of one another and our current students!

Four alumni from DTS spent time together as they all served with the Global Training Network in Nepal this past November. Steve (ThM, 1981) and Barbara LovelletteRichard (ThM, 1981) and Jayne SpencerGreg Buckles (ThM, 1985), and Curt (ThM, 1982) and Becka Wagner all enjoyed getting to spend time together.
