He pastored Emmanuel Baptist Church and Runnymede Baptist Church before teaching full-time at Central Baptist Seminary, later known as Heritage Theological Seminary in Ontario. He retired in 2018 but continued teaching as Professor Emeritus until 2021. Beloved husband to Donna for over fifty-seven years, a loving father to his children, and proud papa to his grandchildren, he will be greatly missed.
Reverend Brian Spitzer (ThM, 1982) of Davenport, Iowa, entered his heavenly home. Known for his compassion, uplifting voice, and unwavering love for others, Brian left a lasting mark on everyone he served. Brian also loved the simple joys of life, especially family time and driving his red Chevy truck. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Barbara, and by their children and grandchildren.
