  • Southlake campus is a new church plant. Launch date has been delayed from May due to pandemic. Yet, the core team has been meeting via zoom for prayers and Bible study.
Worship service of this Southlake campus will be in both English and Chinese, via translation. We definitely need volunteers for youth and children ministries when we meet physically, as God allows. Please feel free to contact us, if you are interested and feel that God is leading you to join this church planting effort.
  • Arlington campus: We provide non-paid internship opportunities to seminarians, areas include preaching, teaching adult Sunday school, small group ministry, children ministry, youth ministry, college ministry, single ministry. Preaching and teaching opportunities are given priority to seminarians attending our church. Our purpose is to provide seminarians practical experiences so that they are better equipped to serve wherever God calls them upon graduation.

We started out as a Chinese church, founded by a DTS seminarian back in 1980. Though majority of our congregations are Asians, we do have different ethic people in our English congregation. We do have a desire to reach out to all ethic people for Christ. Currently we are reaching out to our neighborhood community by distributing food boxes in our Arlington campus every Saturday morning to help those in need due to the pandemic.

We want to provide a spiritual home for seminarians, a place to grow spiritually, and not just a place for them to serve. We encourage seminarians who attend our church to be a part of a small group and develop relationship with fellow brothers and sisters.

God has given us the privileges and opportunities to plant four churches in North Texas, and one in Karlsruhe, Germany. They all are independent now. We are in the process of planting a campus church in Southlake, Texas.

By His grace, we strive to continue to be a church that is mission-minded and has a Kingdom vision.

  • Most all job/volunteer positions are available. This is a Church revitalization/plant. We currently do not have children’s or student’s pastors, we could use help with worship and media. We could use A Sunday School Teacher, and Pastor Andrew wouldn’t mind sharing the pulpit with prospective preachers.

Eastfield Baptist Church has existed since 1960 and was created from a merger of two separate churches who existed long before that. There is much history here, however, the church lost its stamina and presence in the last few years. Pastor Andrew was brought in to help revitalize/replant the church in April 2019. We are looking for eager students/leaders/volunteers who will be committed to our vision and mission of making fully devoted followers of Christ in our neighborhoods and schools.

justBible Ministries
Southlake, TX
Mark Cooper (MABS, 2006)

Jobs, Internships, and Service Opportunities

justBible Ministries was founded in 2011, to fulfill the Lord God’s commands by making disciples and caring for those in need. justBible Ministries performs discipleship by offering Bible teaching Followship Symposiums. justBible Ministries cares for the needy through Projects which administrates donated funds to entities whose applications for assistance has been accepted by the Board of Directors.

Over the past nine years we have held pastor Symposiums in Uganda and Kenya teaching through a complete book of the Bible in three days. During these past nine years, we have had many discussions to develop a biblical training program for pastors who have little resources and no internet capability. We are launching a Project to develop an e-Symposium that will consist of teaching on each 66 books of the Bible and have it loaded on a tablet and made available for pastors in remote villages.

This e-Symposium Project requires the development of an App which will navigate the training in a systematic method. It also provides the opportunity for students, teachers and/or pastors to submit their teaching of a book of the Bible. The following are two functions we are seeking help to launch this Project:

  • Programmer to help design, develop, and implement an App on a tablet that will operate the Bible training protocols.
  • Coordinator to obtain the videos of students, teachers, or pastors teaching for all 66 books.

These opportunities will be compensated through an agreed contact basis.

There is a possibility for an opportunity to join our trip to Kenya and Uganda to work on a Project or participate in a Symposium.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
The essential truths we believe are found in the NAE Statement of Faith and the Nicene Creed. We believe it’s important to be unified on these fundamental truths of the Christian faith, while allowing for freedom and diversity on secondary issues.

OUR MISSION
Our desire is to win people to Christ, build them up into healthy and balanced believers, and send them out into our community, country, and to the ends of the earth to spread the love of Jesus. We believe that as we fulfill our mission, we will move closer to our vision:
To be a mid-sized church serving the community around us and to be a multigenerational church with a next-gen lean

To be a mid-sized church serving the community around us:
Our church building is on a 3 1/2 acre lot, with our current building able to house 125-150 people at one time.
We believe God will lead us in the near future to expand onto the unused area of our property as we grow into a church of 300-400 people.
This growth will allow us to better serve Rowlett and the surrounding community.

To be a multigenerational church with a next-gen lean:
We have a passion and love for all ages and demographics at Lake Cities. We truly desire to be a multigenerational and multicultural church and we believe we can best do this by beginning to lean toward the next generation. What this means is that we use accessible language, music, graphics, and outreach events that we feel will be appealing and attractive to the current generation. As we do this, we are committed to holding tightly to the truths found in the Bible and to loving all of our members equally, regardless of age, race, or gender.

OUR STORY
Lake Cities began as a church plant of Trinity Fellowship Church in Richardson, Texas. Fourteen families were sent to reach the lost and share the love of Christ in Rowlett and the surrounding communities around Lake Ray Hubbard. We began worshiping on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007 in the birthday party room at the Rowlett Bowl-a-Rama! Over the next five years we met in seven different locations, including a movie theater, a child care center and two elementary schools. During this time God was faithful and in spite of changing locations our church grew and became established. In 2012 God opened the door for us to purchase property at 8601 Liberty Grove in Rowlett which is where you will find us now. This year (2020), our congregation and staff merged with Eastern Hills Baptist Church, allowing us to grow in new and exciting ways even in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. Our story is an ongoing adventure of faith – regular people gathering to worship the Lord and growing together in our faith in a community of love, with a strong commitment to share the good news that has so profoundly impacted us.

In 1952, committed to seeing the gospel go forward in Dallas, fifty-two men and women began to dream of starting a new church on the corner of Walnut Hill and Marsh. In the years that followed, Northway Baptist Church would flourish, its members dedicated to serving one another, as well as the city, in the hope of Jesus Christ. In 2009, Northway Baptist Church stepped out in faith and merged with The Village Church, becoming The Village Church’s Dallas Northway campus. During its years with The Village Church, God blessed the Dallas Northway Campus. Men and women came to know Christ, disciples were made and multiplied, and the message of the Gospel went forth not only in Dallas, but throughout the world.

In 2015, through much prayer, the elders of The Village Church began the process of preparing its campuses to become autonomous churches, and in 2019 Northway Church was officially established as a new church. Since 1952 the truth, beauty, and goodness of Jesus has been proclaimed to the city of Dallas by this body of believers. It is our prayer that God would continue to use Northway to reach the people of Dallas and all the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ for generations to come.

Jobs, Internships, and Service Opportunities
  • We have a wide variety of opportunities related to preparation for church or parachurch ministry. The list includes teaching adult learners in an academic setting, curriculum design, writing, team leadership, videography, communications & social media, special projects in media arts, and web design. We also have opportunities to serve in Christian education administration, Christian school administration, Christian education in an intercultural context, and the possibility to design an internship that meets a student’s unique anticipated vocational aspirations. Classes are held from 7:00pm – 9:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings

Opened Bible Academy (OBA) provides tuition-free education for highly committed learners. Generous donors support OBA in our mission to provide laypeople with a ‘seminary-like’ education. OBA, generous donors, and local hosts partner to invest in equipping God’s people. Students’ lives transform as they advance through the rigors of our curriculum. Significant growth occurs as students receive instruction from seminary student interns, doctoral students, and seminary graduates. In Dallas-Fort Worth, we use a team-teaching model in ministry. Following Jesus’ teaching, we practice ‘two are better than one.’ This same philosophy extends to the larger ministry team, which keeps us connected in community. We are better together. At OBA, we approach teaching as sacred education in which both instructor and learner grow in knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. Is God calling you to join His work on the OBA team?

The Residency Program at Prestonwood is an immersive one-year program that is designed to raise up the next generation of local church leaders. All residents must be enrolled in a conservative seminary. During this time, residents will be exposed to practical training that enhances the theological education they receive. Residents will learn that ministry is about people and the importance of discipleship. Working under one of our ministers, residents will learn how to disciple through being discipled and mentored by a supervising minister.

Residents will be encouraged in their personal walk with the Lord and be stretched to live by faith. This hands on ministry experience will give residents practical insight to the different ministries within the church. After their year commitment, residents will be able to explore opportunities for advancement within Prestonwood, launched to serve in an existing church or help to plant a new church that will reach people for Christ.

  • Yes! We have a few part-time campus ministry positions in Collin County that have a monthly stipend and we have some full-time opportunities that require support raising, however we will equip/train you on the support raising process!
  • If you want to impact the world, then reaching college students with the gospel is a strategic way to do it! There are over 1.6 million college students attending Texas universities, making us second only to California in population of college students. Many of these are international students who will return to their home countries to take high-level leadership positions. Are you beginning to see how strategic this is?

The Baptist Student Ministry is one of the strongest evangelical efforts on the college campus in Texas. Ultimately, our aim is to engage college students with the gospel and help them to become disciple-makers. Specifically, we focus on developing students in the areas of evangelism, discipleship, missions, church involvement, and leadership. You can read more about us here: https://www.txbsm.org/about-us

As a DTS graduate, I can say this- Serving on the college campus through BSM has been a FANTASTIC opportunity to utilize ALL of the skills that DTS equipped me with. I teach the Word regularly, I engage in theological conversation regularly, I am regularly involved in the Christian education of my students, I even utilize my Greek and Hebrew!!! I would LOVE to chat more with you about college/campus ministry and our BSM opportunities. Email me at mark.warrington@texasbaptists.org. Who knows, maybe this pandemic will end soon and I can take you to coffee!!! 🙂
